Together with hundreds of people, I reaffirmed my solidarity with the Ukrainian people by participating in the Solidarity March in Luxembourg City on Saturday 25 February 2023, just over a year after the start of the Russian war of aggression on Ukraine. Numerous personalities from politics and society accompanied us. I am especially happy about the peaceful course of the event, which I supported in organizing.
The “Luxemburger Wort” reported on 25 February 2023:
Hundreds of people demonstrate for peace in Ukraine
(autom. translated)
Several hundred people gathered for a solidarity march for Ukraine in Luxembourg City on Saturday afternoon. Police estimated the number of participants at between 500 and 700. They urged an end to the war and the greatest possible support for the Ukrainian people. The demonstration, organised by LUkraine asbl, took place just over a year after the start of the Russian war of invasion in Ukraine. A year of resistance, but also a year of solidarity was behind us, LUkraine President Nicolas Zharov told the Luxemburger Wort. “Solidarity is a game-changer, it means a lot. We are very grateful for the great support of civil society and the government.”
