On Tuesday 31 January 2023, Luxembourg hosted the Business Forum “Rapid Recovery of Ukraine”, focused on the rapid recovery of Ukraine. As Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Luxembourg, supporting Luxembourg and Ukraine relations since 1995, I am very happy all speakers confirmed Luxembourgs and the EU's solidarity with the Ukraine.

The event brought together members from the Ukrainian and Luxembourg Governments, as well as stakeholders from financial institutions and the private sector and provided a detailed perspective on opportunities for partnerships and better understanding for investments in Ukraine’s recovery. Discussions addressed multiple pillars: industry, infrastructure and energy, financial markets, technology, agriculture, cybersecurity, the rule of law, and education.

It was my honor to assist the opening ceremony launched by Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine (remote), followed by Werner Hoyer, President, European Investment Bank, Luc Frieden, President, Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, Michel Wurth, Board Member, ArcelorMittal, Natalya Anoshyna, Chargée d’Affaires, Embassy of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium and to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
